Metamorfose — Cover

Metamorfose Ambulante.

The second volume of this project has been inspired by the Raul Seixas’ song Metamorfose Ambulante.

If I try to explain what this song makes me feel, I might start with a pressing feeling in my heart (no worries, it’s not a medical emergency—or is it?), and a blend of emotions from nostalgia, love, and a sense of being understood. I know, it’s a lot for a song, but sometimes you stumble across these musical creations that stop you on your feet and transport you to a different dimension.
What can I say, I’m a sucker for these feelings.

Not long ago a friend shared her Brazilian Spotify list with me, and there it was, like waiting for me. A spark brought tears to my eyes when I heard the first accords and I felt this is it.

My taste in music is pretty eclectic and I’m definitely a creature of habit when it comes to listening to music. I find myself going through the same 5 albums until they become the soundtrack of my dreams. And for those who know me better, you know how much I also enjoy silence, so my methodic study of these albums takes a considerable time.

I recall hearing Metamorfose Ambulante about 20 years ago, I was living in Buenos Aires and everything felt chaotic but in retrospect I can say it wasn’t. It was a moment of discovery, of transformation—one would say a new paradigm was being created within myself.

Metamorfose Ambulante is exactly that, it is the constant pendulum a person goes through when they have the freedom in the mind to change their point of view as many times as needed.

I miss those times, but time hast taught me that I’ll miss this tomorrow.

Eu prefiro ser essa metamorfose ambulante.
